i've always been the nerd, getting twisted with words, always finding word-games as FUN but i never really liked scrabbles though. i'm so addicted to bookworm deluxe (explains my word-nature, haha), i'd spent hours playing. those days.
while browsing through timedotcom 50 best websites for the year 2008, i stumbled upon the freerice website. i used to do thehungsersite longtime ago, but it was boring since you get to click only once a day for a cup of rice.
my latest addiction combines play with donation. you get to play guess the meaning of a word. for every word you guessed correctly, you get 10 grains of rice. yea, only 10 grains is not enough to feed a famished person. but the aim of the project is to have more people playing since a lot of people are playing at the same time, therefore the goal to feed the hungry is reaching out.
for every gram, there are 48 grains. a balanced diet calculates 400grams for a person, therefore if i were to feed a person, i should get 19200 rice grains, which is equal of 1920 words guessed correct.
oh, why do i even typing this entry? i should be guessing words, now.
p/s: the green banner is for the site. it is VERY addictive, i'm becoming a junkie.
